DETAILS

Artist Elizabeth M. Webb, in collaboration with poet Salaam Green, is working with descendants of those enslaved at the Wallace House, as well as the larger Harpersville descendant community, in order to create a space of healing, community building, and acknowledgement. Join Elizabeth and Salaam at the Wallace House to hear about the project and process, including the development of a collaborative community sculpture using the House’s original columns as material. While this event is free, we invite you to help recover the costs of food, portapotty rental, and fees by making a donation. $10 per person will cover these expenses. If you are able, please give a bit more to cover the expenses for others.
